Clerk & Comptroller 2025 to 2028
Qualifying for the 2024 election ended on Friday, June 14. Stacy Butterfield was re-elected to the position without opposition.

Clerk Stacy M. Butterfield, CPA, serves as Polk County Clerk & Comptroller. She has served as the Clerk & Comptroller for 11 years, and she is a certified public accountant. Prior to being elected, Clerk Butterfield served as a top administrator in the office for nearly 30 years.
The Clerk's job entails a vast amount of responsibility and complexity, and it impacts services affecting public safety, commerce, and access to justice. These responsibilities include safeguarding the public's records, funds, and trust while striving to provide exceptional service.
The Clerk provides more than 2,000 critical services to the community. With nearly four decades of service to the office, Clerk Butterfield has an exceptional understanding of the office and what it takes to best serve Polk County residents.

Putting Experience to Work
Clerk Butterfield and her team members have accomplished many notable items over the past 11 years. Some of the major accomplishments include the complete digitization of all historic deeds, online recording and viewing of official records, continued accreditation of the Inspector General's office, award winning financial reports, online tools for jurors, online marriage license applications, electronic filing and viewing of court records, a DIY center to assist with access to courts, best practices awards for many court services, just to name a few.
